The owner, Anuradha, has designed a selection of the jewellery pieces from her home in Melbourne! The other pieces have been carefully designed by a team of specialist jewellers. As a full time stay at home mum of two daughters, she is committed to growing and supporting local businesses and showing her children how fun business can be.

The Inspiration
Aster & Aura was born under a Summer sky in 2022. Named for the flower that translates to "star," our collection is designed to emanate romance and a celestial energy that moves with the wearer. It’s a positive frequency you can wear.
Our Process
Aster & Aura is an immersion into a world where romance has an edge. Born in the creative city of Melbourne, we curate a collection for the dreamers who move with a distinct energy. We obsess over the edit, bringing together the ethereal glow of 18k gold with the raw, industrial strength of brass and stainless steel.
From delicate stacks to heavy statement necklaces, every piece is a story in metal that refuses to be ordinary. This is jewellery for a lifetime inspired by sunsets overseas and midnight adventures across the world.
A Note from the Founder
Anuradha Perera-Haroon
“Aster & Aura was founded in 2022 one late evening. I was at home and my mind was racing, wondering what my next steps would be and what I wanted for the next phase of my life. I’d just finished my Masters in Cancer Science from Melbourne University and felt a sense of accomplishment and relief, but something told me it wasn’t the path I was meant to continue.
I always knew I wanted to have children and work in a way that allowed me to be home full time with them to see them grow up so I started brainstorming that evening. First it was the name, then the jewellery, then everything else flowed in time. It all just felt right. I remember being pregnant with my first daughter and feeling anxious for my very first order. Years on we’ve been stocked in local shops in Melbourne and have built up a strong and wonderful community around Aster & Aura - thank you to all of you.
I’ve always felt that there is a special and distinct way the universe works to show you what is meant for you. I’m building Aster & Aura whilst being a full time stay at home Mum to our two daughters, and I can’t wait to keep growing and connecting with the community in Melbourne and beyond! I adore hearing customers’ stories about gifts and how our jewellery has held a special place in their hearts.
This is for my two daughters who have inspired me and made me stronger than I ever thought possible.”
